Please read this page before installing, polar alignment and shooting. The following content is from the OG Star Tracker V2 manual.
Some configurations use a 532 nm, 30 mW Class 3B green laser assisting the polar alignment.
- Do not look directly into the laser beam and do not shine the laser into anyone's eyes.
- Do not point lasers at aircraft, vehicles, building windows or people.
- Do not turn on the laser at airports, near airlines, or in locations where local regulations prohibit the use of lasers.
- Minors must use under adult supervision.
- Turn off the laser when not in use and keep it in a safe place.
- If the use of laser is not allowed on site, please use polar scope, mobile phone assistance or drift method instead.
It is the user's responsibility to comply with local laws and regulations regarding lasers.
- Do not look directly at the Sun through polar scope, telescopes, camera viewfinders or other optical devices.
- When photographing the sun, you must use a qualified solar filter that is suitable for the caliber of the equipment and installed on the front of the objective lens, and follow the filter manufacturer's instructions.
- "Sun tracking speed" only changes the tracking speed and does not automatically equip the device with solar observation protection capabilities.
¶ # Mechanical and power supply safety
- Mount the device on a stable tripod and make sure all locking knobs are tightened before mounting the camera.
- Do not load heavy equipment before completing the polar axis adjustment and locking the latitude mechanism.
- Remove the camera and ball head load before switching to travel mode.
- Use a USB-C 5V power supply with a power output capacity of at least 1A; do not connect to higher voltages such as 9V or 12V.
- If there is an odor, abnormal heat, jamming or abnormal noise, you should immediately cut off the power and check.
